Most wifi routers can be easily flashed to run this opensource linux operating system dd-wrt www.dd-wrt.com which transforms your cheap wifi router into a high end networking equipment. I used a dlink dir-300 worth around Pak Rs. 3500/-

Simply locate cron configuration under administration and configure as shown, now you can connect from any wireless device to find your internet always working as it is supposed to be. Without having a PC to run a software to keep the connection alive. =)

Initially bought the fat PS2 network adapter to use Linux on it but using it for other purposes is cool too.

I only play a few games at a time, so keeping them on the HD saves me from finding and inserting the DVDs all the time.

To get HDLoader running I had to load Free MC Boot which means I can use the console to play MP3s, DivX, etc. as well.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the evdo broadband service. I was not expecting wonders and hence am not disappointed. Also as it was just a free trial I did not pay anything. Anyways I used it side by side with wateen and the verdict is crawling slow. Your mileage may vary but this being center of the capital and all other services fly here.
